Everyone knows that the kingdom Saudi Arabia in under the rule of the Al Saud royal family, who have implemented puritan Sharia laws in the country. Islamic beliefs and faith in Allah are the pillars on which the whole of Saudi Arabian culture is dependent on. This is why their society is unique, and is not similar to any other society in the world. Most often, the customs are more valuable to the people then their own lives and so they try to protect it with all their power.
Almost all the relationships known to humans are respected in the Saudi Arabian society and they believe in keeping in touch with relatives, friends and family members. Apart from the blood or nuptial relationships, there are many other relationships that people in this part of the planet value. Friends and colleagues are also held in high regard and there is a certain level of hierarchy that people maintain in the workplace, by respecting the boss.
To the Saudis, their relationship with Allah (God Almighty) is a very long relationship and they believe that their purpose of existence is to please Him and follow His divine orders. People have enormous amount of faith in the Islamic way of life and they believe that by being loyal to Allah, they can go to heaven after they die.
People take Allah's name all the time and not just in prayers, but in their daily lives as well. They often begin a task by saying 'Bismillah', which means In the name of Allah. There are several other phrases which the people use in their day to day conversation and all these words are directed towards praising God for the things that He has given them.
The Islamic Prophet Muhammad is also very close to the heart of the Saudis; they say that the Prophet is the dearest to them, out of all of God's creation. Most of them claim to love him more than they love their own family members or any other human being for that matter. They often visit the grave of the Prophet in the city of Medina and pray for his soul; in fact, whenever they pray to God, they also pray for the Prophet.
Parents have a higher place of respect in this country and most people are known to be very respectful towards their parents. Children share a special bond and relationship with their father, who is often in charge of taking decisions in the family.
People in this Arab country also respect their elder brothers, sisters, uncles and aunts and they also love their siblings or other family members who are younger to them. The elders in turn, take care of the young family members and also protect them from all sorts of troubles.
