Being a great writer means you can take just a few stories and turn them into additional stories just by revolutionizing the way you write about the subject matter. What you add or take away from the content you have in front of you to give it a new twist.
Modify a story you have recently written and see if you can add drama to the tale you have or perhaps you can change it into a comedy or a play that a local theater group might consider adding to their selections. Alternative ways to re-purpose what you have written may be to approach the topic from a creative standpoint or a documentary approach. You can see that the same topic could go in any of those directions and be creative approaches.
It is about the combination of the events that occurred and how you as the writer put them together in your story line and time line of events. For example: If you've ever gone to an airfield for a flight and found you took more time to go thru the security check point than you expected and then had to run to get to the gate so you did not miss the boarding call for the flight. You have 2 selections immediately: do you want to go the drama version or the comedy version. Either will stretch your creative writing ability.
You can try both and see which one you have got the most fun with and use that to help you continue to increase you skill in that type of writing. Or go with one of the other proposals or you can try each of the ideas for developing the theme. It is important as a writer to stretch yourself and have fun doing that with your ideas.
It's all in the decisions you take with the theme. This kind of writing stretches you to contemplate the proper way to put the info and events into your story in such a manner as to get the 2 different results. It is usually possible to use the twists to develop your writing resources so you can see things from one or two points of view.

About the Author:
Marjorie J McDonald is a published author who enjoys helping aspiring writers begin to write by giving them creative writing strategies. It all begins with what level of spelling they are on. The spelling level determines the reading level of each person and is a necessary part of being able to clearly communicate with others. How to teach spelling and lesson plans for spelling are several of the programs created by the elementary teacher and offered to help anyone who wants to write get started. The lessons on learning level are useable for children who are just starting to learn spelling, penmanship and creative writing as well as adults who want to learn or improve their language skills.
