Wall Fountains: Significant Component of Feng Shui

By Tyler Kennedy

Wall fountains and the supplies utilized to create them are not just beautiful design items but are also a significant part of feng shui living. Feng shui is a practice that targets a suitable harmony of materials and energy in order to produce positive and productive spaces. We know that all things in our universe are made up of atoms and molecules that are in constant motion, constantly releasing and transferring energy around the world around them. It is this energy transfer that concerns the feng shui practice, which teaches us the importance of creating live and work spaces that maintain a proper balance of elements for a healthy, prosperous atmosphere. Improved feng shui is just one of the numerous reasons why indoor wall fountains are chosen to enhance the atmosphere of some of the finest houses, business, restaurants, hotels and corporations from all over the world.

Feng Shui is the ancient Chinese art of placement. The practice requires the careful arrangement of items within a space to signify elements and create a proper balance and flow of energy. While Feng Shui has been practiced for hundreds of years, it is only now growing in popularity in the western world. The main reason why water fountains are so popular in Feng Shui is that they bring the positive energy of the water, which is a conventional Feng Shui symbol representing abundance and prosperity. Also if anyone uses a Feng Shui indoor fountain, it will spread the healthy negative ions into the air and provide houses with more air humidity.

When buying a Feng Shui water feature, find a good quality product which has a silent engine. Also add crystals or even small stones in the water fountain to add strength to the positive energy, called sheng chi, it is even better if there are diffuse essential oils into the air. By using those components, they double the positive beneficial energy that Feng Shui fountains give just by having them at home. The uplifting melody of running water has timeless appeal.

Feng Shui believed that the best places to add water fountain in the house are in the North, since it is the center of career and path in life. In the East, meaning family and wellness, and South-East means giving additional wealth and abudance. Putting the water feature in the South area is not advised because it is known for Fame and Reputation and it's the energy of Fire. Water and fire just don't mix well. Flowing water in the bedroom should be avoided because water is an element of worry and can cause difficulty sleeping and worries.

Wall fountains bring the positive energy of Feng Shui into a dwelling. It was considered that it will bring wealth and good luck to the place where it has been put. They can make the space more positive. It generates a mood that transcended the energy and harmony between the water and the land. Transforming the raw canvas into a work of art that would have good energy and soothing effect for those who viewed it.
