There are many people who during their lifetime will come close to the edge. This difficult experience of coming close to the edge is a reaching beyond the very idea of who you are. It's not simply a threat to the sense of the separate self but it is also characterized by a willingness to enter the heart and into the heart of the unknown. This willingness to enter the heart is an invitation that come from beyond the personality. The individual who accepts such an invitation becomes willing to allow the will of the Divine to be aligned with their will. Their life becomes the practical application of the request from the Lord's prayer that invites, "Thy will be done of earth as it is in Heaven."
Heaven is not a place beyond the earth. It is an interiority. It is the highest level of consciousness available to a human living within this space and time dimension. This experience is named Christ consciousness. It has many other names. It does not mean that in order to enter such such a state of consciousness you need to be a Christian. It does mean that you are willing to practice being faithful to that knowing that is within you and which wishes to express through you.
When the word faith is used here, or in any other article, I am not writing about having faith in a certain belief system that is authorized by some religious or spiritual organization. The way in which the word faith is used in this context is faith in a process. Such faith is in the way that Creation processes life through you. This creative life process is forever creating in new ways. This process is skewed toward ever higher forms of creation and higher levels of consciousness. It knows all about creating because that is how it is designed to be and do. This process does not mechanically make things but creates forms that are whole.. It doesn't learn creation through intellectual knowledge about things but is the . You are never apart from, nor can you be apart from, this knowing experience.
You are this knowing and the knower within. This knowing has been referred to as the still small voice within. The majority of your life you have been encouraged to put your faith in other people rather than put your faith in the meeting with the small still voice within you. The problem with the modern mind is that it's geared through cultural indoctrination to attain instant results. The development of the knower that is within you isn't something that is revealed over time.
It arises from that dimension beyond time. Although it is instantaneous your capability of receiving such instantaneous knowledge has a tendency to be distorted by the desires of the ego. No one apart from yourself can invite the power of the knower within. It is a radical invitation because it invites you to authorize your real power and become aligned with Creation in the very unique way that such creative power designed you to be. Come to the edge and take a leap of faith into the unknown. The result cannot be guaranteed but you are likely to fly.
