Speaking English To Learn English

By Maicel Wiley

Our brains have a limited capacity to absorb and handle information we get from our surroundings. This cognitive process of acquiring and comprehending information is what we describe "learning". There are several ways to understand and there are also other habits to acquire learning improvement for us to be able to maximise our cognitive capabilities and to finally use what we learn to our benefit.

We can be trained through the typical process of reading or studying but it is not a promise that these strategies are always successful. Learning is much more effective if one could immediately apply his knowledge to real-life situations. And so, to learn a new dialect, it is best to speak it instead of just reading about it.

English is considered our universal language. Using fluent and proper English, particularly in the academe, is an indication of competence. Learning the English language can be possible through taking English classes and doing linguistic experiments but the simplest and most efficient way is to use the language in conversing with other people. Interaction using English can aid one practice his English proficiency through implementing what he has learned through his English studies.

Our speech organs contain our organs found in the mouth downward to our esophagus. In speaking, we make use of our speech organs and also make use of our other bodily senses such as our vision since we have to look at the person we are conversing to and also our hearing sense since we have to also listen to feedback and responses the other person gives. We can learn better this way since our brain functions more because we make use of more bodily senses.

One can be trained English simply through interaction or through conversing with another person using the dialect. Conversations would be capable to help a person put in order his thoughts and at the same time, learn the language syntax and its proper grammar usage. Not only will this learning technique be effective but it also ensures practicality since speaking takes a smaller amount time than studying, not as much of effort than reading long reports or writing long notes. What more, you can even gain associates through your interactions with other people.
