Why It's Essential To Control Your Thoughts To Control Your Life

By Marenda Taylor

At some time in everyone's life we become more aware about what precisely we are thinking, as opposed to just allowing our thoughts to run on autopilot. We will start to become the observer of our thoughts as if we are detached from them. This is true, because we really are disconnected from our thoughts. Most of the time, we are thinking on autopilot with one random thought pumping our minds after another. We will observe, hear or smell something that brings about a memory, and our thoughts run with it. Before you realize it, you are emotionally invested in an old unimportant random thought.

Random + Thought = Distraction

Even though the thought that we are thinking at the time is a random thought, if we keep that thought for fewer than 16 seconds another thought just like it will come forth and so on and so forth; then creating a whole bunch of "comparable" thoughts. This catalog of comparable thoughts will then further produce or initiate a vibration; an emotion within your body, and just like that you have just been swept away on an emotional journey somewhere. Odds are this is a journey that you didn't intend to take, yet your mind just created it, unintentionally.

Creating unintentionally is no way to live a purpose driven life, because we are unconscious of the power that we are wielding around at every moment. We are not aware that we are attracting to ourselves the particular things that we don't want, thanks to these recurring unintentional emotional expeditions. Actually, our emotions are the vibrations that we place into the Universe. Every vibration delivers back to us an identical physical manifestation.

You may possibly begin with the thought that "I don't have enough", and another thought joins in that states "I don't know how I'm going to make it", and then yet another thought chimes in and tells you, "I never have enough" then abruptly comes along the thought, "I'm tired of struggling" and it's buddy responds with "I can't win for losing!". Before you know it, you have just set off a low vibration within you that encourages you to feel really dreadful and you have just initiated the manifestation process of getting more of what you don't want.

Your life will manifest your beliefs to you all the time, and you will get more confirmation of not having enough and of struggling. As you see more proof of your thoughts, the evidence will cause you to continue more of the same thoughts. This will trigger more of the same vibration, which will create more of the same manifestation. It is a sadistic cycle!

And so the question now turns into, what can I do to re-structure or control my thoughts? Well, I'm glad that you asked! The answer is easy, but clear-cut commonly can result in people not doing it. We have a tendency to want to obscure it, and review it and evaluate it. We want to go to seminars and be coached about it, but the reality is this:

Be the watcher of your thoughts.

Be forward feeling as opposed to current looking.

Repeat, repeat, repeat.

To be forward feeling as opposed to current looking simply means to ignore reality, and go to the feeling place of how you want your life to be. I know it's hard to wrap your mind around being told to "ignore reality", nevertheless the truth is that being attentive to and recording, and keeping score of the reality of the current situation of your life is only sending more of that current situation to you, and nothing will change. We need to see the unseen and feel the feelings of that, and this process raises our vibration to complement that which we want, which then triggers manifestation of the desire.

I understand this is heavy, read it a couple of times and let it soak in!
