"I'm leaving for Kenya, Africa... in 2 hours"
She could not imagine what I was saying and in truth thatTuesday morning I didn't thinking in traveling at all. Egypt and Mexico felt enough for any month (so I figured). Nevertheless around eleven o'clock, while reading through an ebook, taking in my second coffee and vividly picturing the stress-free times forward, a disruptive mail arrived and smashed the morning in 2:
Could you fly to Kenya tomorrow?
The email came from Jono Hall, director of the Forerunner Media Shool at the International House of Prayer of Kansas City. Graeme Spencer (head of production for God TV)enteredthe discussion from Washington DC and asked me if I could lead worship in Kenya, that Thursday. After a few seconds of overwhelming contemplating, I concluded drinking my flavored coffee and typed a timid yes.
That afternoon, I used the airline boarding pass from my smartphone and boarded flights toward Chicago and Heathrow (London) exactly where I came along the weary but welcoming God TV crew. We all had a snack and embarked British Airlines flight 879 for Nairobi, Kenya. It turned out to be Wednesday late night, when I finally reached The continent of africa.
With merely three hours of rest, I got into a little rented bus en route for 'mountain base'. This original ride delivered 45 minutes of wild driving with some that ancient British chat (try that whenever you've jet lag).
High on the hills the morning felt somehow almost epic: the natural perfume with the wild, the fascinating hues all over it appeared as if nature dancing. Backstage, a corn country field evolved into spectacular mountain tops that finale with blue skies. It was breathtaking; creation at his finest (with a heavenly touch) the Watoto children choir of Uganda dancing on the complete stage.
For up to six lengthy hours we worshiped and broadcast unrehearsed (live TV) to more than 100 countries. Without doubt draining, but totally splendid!
At sunset, we all left mountain base and went to the Kenyan resort (via crazy difficult highways you haven't noticed in the most famous african movies). Some hours later, I kissed Africa good bye, jumped into several planes in Europe making it it back to Kansas City, on Friday (for dinner).
Now, that's something I label "ministry on steroids"a fascinating kingdom adventure, the adrenaline rush of traversing continents in 24 hours, feeling the influence of God's presence on your heart, and the fantastic delight of an extraordinary experience.
Discovering the Puzzle of the Captivating Word
The section above posesses a gripping and captivating word. I'll be perfectly sincere, I shared my trip to Kenya to highlight the value of that word. I promise: comprehending the word can help you figure out the desires of your soul and get the reason behind your main victories and setbacks.
Envision yourself within a area in which beauty, unforgettable trips and fascinating adventures happen each and every day. Envision a reality where boredom is vanished and enthrallment is the ruling experience of your heart.
What if you might like a constant story, in a world where love and majesty frequently take your breath away?
Here is something few people realize: deep within our hearts we crave and yearn for experience. All people long for to "experience". It is not really "things", "status" and "success" we want, it is the feeling those things provide we have been after, how they make us feel within.
I have much to talk about this matter, but this article is already lengthy... don't worry... we'll meet again.
