The Different Kinds Of Brain Chemicals

By Mari Orr

Human body has a high percentage of body fluids. One of the most important body fluids is the brain chemicals. These body fluids have a great influence to a number of body reactions. These body reactions consist of mood swings, the rate of sweating, sleep, fidgeting, sleep, concentration and energy levels. These body fluids consist of melatonin, prostaglandins, serotonin, norepinephrine, insulin and dopamine.

These fluids consist of serotonin, insulin, dopamine, prostaglandins and melatonin. The production of these fluids is affected by diet, sunlight, stress, sleep and other life style factors. One of the most important chemical is the serotonin. Lack of this body fluids usually causes depression. Therefore, factors that affect concentration of this chemical at the receptors usually alleviate the signs of depression.

The other kind of biochemical is the acetylcholine. Acetylcholine is a neurotransmitter that is utilized by the cholinergic system when it is stimulated. It also increases memory capacity and alertness. This biochemical directly affects sexual performance and arousal. This blood flow affects heart rate, blood pressure during love making.

The other kind of chemical is the dopamine. If dopamine does not get to the Basil Ganglia, it results into Parkinson's disease. The other kind of condition that is caused by production of dopamine is the Schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is the lack of ability to reason straight.

The over sensitivity of the receptor can cause a raise in the amount of dopamine that is produced by the body. If there is too much dopamine in the limbic system and little cortex, it may lower the social interaction of a person. Dopamine contributes to some emotions such as the feelings of bliss and the feeling of pain.

This body fluid also affects the feelings of bliss and pain. These brain chemicals usually affect the body in different ways and all of them are important. However, the proper levels of these fluids have to be maintained for the proper functioning of body organs.
