How To Find The Right Fit: Your Accessories

By Ilechukwu Magnus

When shopping for new clothes, many men spend a lot of time considering the look and fit of 'mens suits , often ignoring the fit of the accessories that bring an outfit together. There is absolute need that each of the accessories you put on your body fits well.

Knowing The Right Fit For Your Accessories

The Shoes- With shoes, comfort is essential. Without this, you will end up in pain at the end of every day. However, most people find it difficult to determine whether a shoe is going to be comfortable by just trying it on and even worse when they are bought online. In order to be on the safe side, it is better to try out a couple of shoes though. This is because, even shoes of a brand can fit differently. Also, keep in mind that both of your feet may not be the same size; one may be slightly larger than the other. It is therefore better to choose a shoe that fits the larger leg and ensure that no part of any of your foot is seen through the shoe.

-Room For Mens Weeding Suits- The Belts- Your casual belts should not be more than 3.8 centimetres wide while your dress belts should not be more than 3.3 centimetres wide. It is one thing to have the right belt and yet another to wear it correctly; ensure that the belt is as slim as your trouser waist and sits comfortably on your waist even if you are wearing men's weeding suits. When choosing a belt, make sure it is long enough to go completely around your waist, but not so long that it extends more than a few centimetres past your belt loop.

Watches- You shouldn't just use any watch with your suits for men; it is necessary that you consider their fit. Don't allow them to either be so loose or so tight. However, if you are using leather band, make sure that there is no excess leather protruding from the strap-keep or it will be obvious that your band is way too long.

Ties- Despite color blending and learning how to tie a proper knot, many men never pay further attention to the tie they are wearing. However, it is also important to note how wide the ties should be, how long they should be, and how they should be tied. For dress ties, the average width is approximately 7.6 cm, while casual ties are much skinnier. While it is necessary that the knot in the tie should be tight enough to keep the tie fixed, it should also be free enough to allow air flow between the tie and the dress shirt. For professional attires, your tie should be long enough to touch the centre of your dress shirt.

The Pocket Squares- In most cases, simple is best, especially those times when you need to pick pocket squares. While complicated folds can be learned, a simple fold will work best in most cases for your pocket square. However, it is necessary that the square spans your entire pocket and protrude not more than 2.5cm.

For men's clothing, suits and dress shirts, ensure that whichever accessory you are selecting fits properly. However, the fit of your accessories is just as essential for a complete and stylish outfit. Warm your mind with these tips when next you went purchasing new accessories for your wardrobe.
