Since the time of King James the words of the prayer were included in the way that the English language was learned. This all changed when officious clerics declared that the Bible should be 'translated' into modern English.
Statistics on this issue can hardly exist. However, it would seem to be a fair guess that very few six-year old children in the western world would recognize the Lord's Prayer now. They live in a world that is radically different from that of their grandparents.
